How Much Magic?

The holidays are so magical, but I want to know, how much magic can one house hold? First of all, it was Christmas Eve, and our jolly, chubby friend was expected, and that is pretty huge right there. Then, Hannah lost another tooth! So then, the Tooth Fairy was expected too. That is a lot of magic people in one house in one night! Then, of course, Gramps and Mimi were expected on Christmas Day, and everyone knows that grandparents are made of magic. Seriously! I know this, cause I have some really excellent ones! So, I am not sure how we survived all of that wonderment, but we did! Santa came, the Tooth Fairy came, and the grandparents came. It was wonderful, and, I'll admit, a bit exhausting for the Mama.

Hannah and Franky on Christmas Eve.
We went to a party and meant to stay an hour and then go to church. We had so much fun that we lost track of time and missed church on Christmas Eve. We went on Christmas day, but the nursery was closed and Franky did not stay very quiet, so we had to leave early.

The kids put out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.

Franky loves the tool chest that Santa brought him.

Hannah got a digital camera, so the two photographers discussed the merits of digital photography.

The next Hannah Montana??

I hope that everyone had a merry day, and send you wishes for a new year filled with joy!

At times, it feels like a lot for parents during this time of year, but you guys pulled it off beautifully. I looked closer at a couple of your pictures and couldn't believe this small coincidence: the fabric I used for Jake's and Juju's pajamas is the same snowman print as Hannah's—only in pink and blue. Also, the pants I made Brian has bears on them. So much in common. Glad your Christmas was so wonderful.

Isn't that funny about the jammies! I always get the kids christmasy jammies, but we start wearing them in November, to spread out the cheer. Hannah's came from a garage sale, and Franky's from a consignment sale (frugal or cheap? I guess that is in the eye of the beholder...) Did you make jammies for everyone? You are so good! Hannah and Franky are lucky enough to have Grandmas that sew. They both got new fleece jackets and jammies, and Hannah got a dress and jammies with matching ones for her American Girl doll from her other grandma.
