Homework Organization

You know, drawers just seem to collect junk! These two drawers are in an old buffet in my kitchen that I am hoping to replace eventually. But for now, this is what I have, and what I need is a way for the kids to keep their homework organized.

What a mess!

Miss Mae and Little Dude, being in 2nd grade and Kindergarten, respectively, still need me to be near when they do homework. Sometimes, I even need to be an active participant. So, they do their homework at the kitchen table and need supplies near at hand. This seemed to be a perfect solution- 2 drawers, 2 kids.

So, I cleaned out the drawers. 98% of the stuff in there went straight to the recycle bin. The rest got put away where it really belongs. I gathered a few pencils and a couple pair of kids scissors and a couple glue sticks. I ran to Hobby Lobby and bought brand new colored pencils, which I know they will need. I put all their supplies in the little plastic baskets that were already in there. I threw their sight word supplies in there also, cause you know we are gonna work on sight words- big time!
Homework Drawers! Everything they need is right there. Now, Miss Mae and Little Dude are ready to study and develop good study habits and organizational skills.
