Grey, brown and navy are pretty good neutrals, but I thought maybe I could make them better, so headed off to one of my favorite places- Hobby Lobby. I Picked up some special flip flop glue (with a coupon of course!) and a couple of pieces of pretty trim, about 2/3 of a yard each, but I have pretty big feet.
I cut the trim to size and folded in half to find the middle.

I started from the middle and just started gluing the trim on.
I used clothespins to hold the trim in place while it dried.
And look how cute they turned out! So much better than plain 'ol flip flops!
I also did some daisy trim on the navy flip flops with a daisy in the middle. So glad I had those in my craft room!
I also had some white silk flowers (leftover from my wedding!), so I glued 4 of them at the center point on the grey flip flops. So pretty!
I can't figure out which pair I like best! And since it was 107 degrees on Tuesday, I'm pretty sure I will still get some use out of them this year. There's no way I'll put these anywhere that the dog can even find them! Poor puppy!I spent $3 for the flip flops and about $4.50 at Hobby Lobby, plus I used some stuff out of my own supplies. My total is $2.50 a pair, with about 2/3 of my tube of glue remaining. Good thing, cause Miss Mae wants some too!

What a cute idea! I'd never heard of flip-flop glue, and I never thought about glueing stuff onto them. This would be a great craft project for Bible camp. Thanks for sharing!
Cute! I hadn't heard of flip-flop glue, either. I think you need to make some fall or Halloween themed flip-flops.
Those are so cute! I think the grey ones are my favorite:) I had no idea they made glue just for flip flops...I need to find it the next time I'm at Hobby Lobby!
First that puppy is so cute I guess that makes it all right to be a flip flop chewer! Why didn't I think of that. I pay at least another $10 to have a fancy flip flop! Great job

These are great! My faves are the grey ones, I'm in such a grey period right now, I want to decorate with it, wear it. Are there grey foods? I would probably eat them all ;)
who knew there was such a thing as "flip flop glue"...but you did an awesome job with the flip flops. It would be a great thing to try with my babies once they're old enough.
Your puppy is adorable (but looks like s/he can find some trouble if left to her own devices--I love dogs whose ears stand up!!!)...my son saw the picture and came over and started barking at the picture...so tell your pooch he says "hi" in dog!
